Everything you need to know about the Perla Wallpaper School experience.

No prior wallpaper installation experience is required. Our class is designed for complete beginners as well as those with some DIY experience who want to learn professional-level techniques. Lauren starts with the fundamentals and builds up to advanced methods over the four days.

Your tuition covers four full days of hands-on instruction with Lauren and her team, all luxury designer wallpaper and adhesives used during the class, Lauren’s favorite professional tools to take home, professional photos of your installs for your portfolio, website, or social media, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages each day, a certificate of completion, and access to the Perla alumni network. Lodging is not included — we’ll send registered students a list of recommended hotels.

We’ll send registered students a detailed travel guide with our favorite hotels, along with restaurant recommendations and things to do in Baton Rouge. We’re happy to help you plan your trip.

Class runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day, with a break for lunch. We recommend arriving the evening before Day 1 so you’re rested and ready. The schedule allows plenty of time for questions, practice, and one-on-one guidance.

Wallpaper installation is a hands-on craft that requires personal attention and real-time feedback. With 4–6 students, Lauren and her team can watch your technique, correct your form, and answer every question. You won’t get lost in a crowd — this is mentorship, not a lecture.

Many of our students aspire to become professional installers, and we support that goal. Due to relationships with local installers, we do not offer the course to competitors in the Baton Rouge area. This class is intended for aspiring professionals outside of the Baton Rouge market or DIY enthusiasts.

Full refund if you cancel 60 or more days before the class. 50% refund for cancellations 30–59 days out. Cancellations within 30 days are non-refundable, but your seat can be transferred to another person. We understand plans change and will always work with you.

Yes — our next scheduled session is September 14–17, 2026, and we offer 12 classes per year. Each class is limited to 4–6 students, and dates are announced on a first-come basis. Joining the waitlist is the best way to be notified of future sessions.
